The Hale Community & Youth Centre joined the annual Farnham Duck Race, organised by the Farnham Weyside Rotary Club, and what a day it was! The event brought together hundreds of local families and friends for a lively afternoon of fun, laughter, and community spirit.
🦆 A Festival of Fun
Our team set up a colourful stall under the Hale Community & Youth Centre canopy, offering a tombola, children’s lucky dip, and face painting. The sun shone brightly, and the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement. Snow cones were a huge hit, keeping everyone cool as anticipation built for the big duck launch into the river.
💛 Community Effort and Generous Support
A huge thank you to Pauline, Keith, Isabel, and Gosia, who worked tirelessly throughout the day. Thanks to their enthusiasm and everyone’s generous contributions, we raised over £600 for the Hale Community & Youth Centre. With so many stalls and activities competing for attention, this was a fantastic achievement!
🌞 A Wonderful Day for Farnham
The Duck Race is always a highlight of the Farnham calendar, and this year’s event was no exception. From cheering on the ducks to enjoying the sunshine and community camaraderie, it was a day that perfectly captured the spirit of Hale and Farnham — connecting local people and celebrating together.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s race — and maybe even more ducks in the water!
