The Hale Community and Youth Centre is more than just a building; it is a vibrant hub dedicated to fostering cohesion, building confidence, and providing essential skills to the residents of Farnham. Whether you are looking to meet new people, gain fresh perspectives, or find a supportive space during a difficult time, the centre at 130 Upper Hale Road is designed to inspire everyone who walks through its doors.

A Place for Everyone

Managed by Melissa Salisbury, the centre bridges the gap between different demographics, bringing together neighbors to understand and support one another’s unique challenges. From "pay what you can" lunches to a Community Fridge that redistributes food to prevent landfill waste, the centre’s initiatives focus on practical support and social connection.

Empowering the Next Generation

The centre is deeply committed to its youth, offering a wide range of activities including:

  • Youth Clubs: For ages 11 to 19

  • Specialized Support: Programs for young carers in years six to nine.

  • Skill Building: Opportunities to learn computer coding, children’s cooking, and fitness.

  • Educational Partnerships: Lunchtime sessions at Farnham Heath End School.

Driven by Volunteers and Community Spirit

The incredible reach of the centre - supported this year by the Mayor of Farnham, Cllr George Murray - is made possible by a dedicated team of volunteers. From maintaining beautiful gardens to picking up food collections from local partners like Aldi and KFC, these volunteers are the backbone of the organization.
