A Moment of Reflection for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Sunday 18th September at 7.45pm, Gostrey Meadow

A notice from Iain Lynch, Farnham Town Clerk

Farnham will be holding a vigil – A Moment of Reflection – for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, on Sunday 18th September, the evening before her funeral.  The commemoration will take place in Gostrey Meadow, Farnham, GU9 7PT, with the lighting of candles from 7.30pm.

We will gather for the vigil at 7.45pm near to the Bandstand, with words from the Mayor of Farnham, Councillor Alan Earwaker, and the Mayor of Waverley, Councillor John Ward, as we prepare for a minute’s silence with people in communities across the United Kingdom.  The minute’s silence with be signalled by a whistle, this will be piped by Farnham, Fleet and Aldershot Sea Cadets.

People can hold this minute’s silence anywhere, or come join together in Gostrey Meadow on Sunday evening, everybody is welcome.

Please may we ask that you share ‘A Moment of Reflection for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’ with others who may like to take part.

Kind regards

Iain Lynch

Farnham Town Clerk
